How to Stay Motivated While Losing Weight

So many people attempt to loose weight everyday and so many fail. Why is it that so many people fail so horribly and quickly when trying to get healthy? There are several reasons why but one of the most important is the lack of motivation to lose the weight. Here are a few tips to help you stay motivated why losing weight.

Tip #1: Avoid starving yourself
If your hungry you are going to want to eat, it’s as simple as that. If you starve yourself your only setting yourself for a quick failure. If your hungry eat something that is good for you. Vegetables and fruits can make wonderful snacks along with low fat or healthy chips. Don’t cut out those things you love such as chocolate, chips or other snacks. Find alternatives that will satisfy your desires while still being better for you.

Tip #2: Exercise by doing something fun
Working out doesn’t have to be dreadful. There are several things you can do that are fun such as riding a bike with a friend, volleyball, baseball or anything that will get your heart rate up along with being fun for you.

Tip #3: Reward yourself for small milestones
Don’t wait to reward yourself when you lose 50 pounds. Do small rewards every 5 pounds or so. Avoid rewards that involve food and search for alternatives such as getting your nails done or see that movie you have been waiting for. Save the larger rewards such as new clothes for the larger milestones like 25 or 50 pounds.
