The number one motivation for exercise should be the attainment of good health. When you have good health, everything else follows. Sometimes, we need something to sweeten the deal. Reaching our fitness goals is our ultimate prize. It’s the little things that make the journey enjoyable. They help us push ourselves harder. The struggle to attain good health does not stop once you have achieved that goal. Maintaining it is a lifetime commitment.

Always be realistic. First time exercisers oftentimes overestimate their strength and stamina. Overreaching yourself can only lead to frustration. Motivate yourself with well meaning friends. The significant people in your life can make getting fit easier for you. Their support is invaluable in your efforts to reach your weight goals. Making your workouts fun can motivate you to be consistent at. Water aerobics, zumba and pole dancing are just a few to try. If you enjoy your workouts, it will be less of a chore. It will also motivate you to increase your intensity. Previous exercise related experiences can take up residence in your subconscious. Do not let them deter you from your goals today. Buy yourself some flowers or a new pair of skinny pants. You can reward yourself with your favorite food. Just avoid overdoing it. A few bites will tide you over till the next weighing in.
