It seems that everyone is obsessed with fitness. Almost everyday on the news, on any given channel, they are talking about obesity, exercise, diet and other health issues. Everyone is jumping on the health bandwagon.
Are you finding a lack of motivation when it comes to getting to your own exercise in? Let’s look at some ways that you can keep motivated and accomplish your health goals.
– Accept Reality. You already know the issues that bring you to need to exercise. Those issues will not go away if you don’t exercise, and there is a good chance they will go away or be considerably reduced if you exercise regularly. It is time to accept reality and not to let excuses take over. There are some things in life that we have to deal with, and you would be well on the road to motivation if you accept that exercise is one of those things that you have to do. This doesn’t mean you should be harsh on yourself. There are days when we don’t feel our optimum. A regular workout routine might not be the right activity for that day. Since you have accepted exercise as a fact of life you will still need to do something that day. Perhaps just a quick walk is in store for this type of situation. The important thing is to get in some form of exercise.
– Have a goal. It is even better to have short, medium and long term goals. These will help you stay focused and will help you fight back the excuses. You can have goals to lose weight, gain muscle, lower blood pressure or anything else that fits your life.
