Who Wants to Know About Better Health and Self Motivation?

Are you reading it everywhere? Is the slogan about bettering your health popping up in conversations? It happened to me that way. First I didn’t even know what people were talking about – nothing to do with me – or has it?

Next thing friends talk about getting motivated to better their health and their diets, and so it went on and on until finally I had a closer look at my own health and life – and yes, I realized bettering my health sure would not be a bad idea!

So the next question presents itself: how do I get past the drudgery of it all? It sounds so boring and hard work! And do I really want to go on a diet? No! And anyway, I don’t really have the time to put into my health – so much to do at work.

You may have a fantastic career that pays you oodles of money and affords you great prestige within the community. If you are using your job as an excuse to not be healthy, however, then this dream job of yours can turn into a nightmare. Here is the truth: jobs can come and go, no matter how secure you feel or how much time and effort you put into your career

‘If you sacrifice your health for a job then you’re really setting yourself up for a bad situation’ very true, so I had a read of several self improvement books and actually enjoyed it! Low and behold – there were many good ideas! Nothing exotic at all – very common sense and easily implemented even into my busy life style.

One thing that stood out though: no matter how great the ideas are, if I can’t manage to motivate myself to actually DO something, no matter how easy or common sense the idea – it will do nothing for me!

I didn’t have to change my whole life around; I just had to set achievable goals, figure out where I wanted to be health wise, find out what better health actually means to me – not to my friends, not to Hollywood actors – but for me myself.

So, what is your excuse not to look at your situation and motivate yourself?

No time because of your kids? No time because you work too much?

The healthier you are the better parent/worker you can be.

You’re more effective in what you do when you can do it with a healthy body. You are more patient and understanding towards your children if you are feeling good within yourself.
