Some of the many clients I train every now and then discuss on how they don’t have the discipline to stick with their workout program or daily routine.

The idea that they don’t seem to understand is that it really is not about will or drive or discipline. It is simply about habits. Think of it this way, you don’t have to have determination to brush your teeth and take a shower do you? No. You just do it.

That is the big difference between all the people who are in shape in the fitness arena and the one’s who are not. That’s pretty much it!

It does take drive and determination to develop a workout or excellent fitness habits, but there are some activities you can do to make it successful and easier for you and set yourself up for healthy success.

Also, the tranquillity of mind that comes from knowing your body is in top form, ready to cope whatever comes along, is a valuable ownership. To be able to ascertain that you have spent your day effectively and invested in your well being is a real reward. The benefits that are seen from adding a mere 20 minutes of exercise to your daily routine are incredible. You would gain tremendous vitality as a participant in walking for exercise.

A friend of mine lost about 74 lbs. in one year, by simply adding walking to his schedule. He had been dieting for just about two months, with very little in the way of results. Walking was suggested by his doctor, and he’s never been so impressed and never felt better. My friend’s vitality levels were three times what they were prior to starting the exercise program. Additionally, increased energy levels are one of the greatest benefits of a fit body.

A boost in your self-esteem and confidence in your appearance are also wonderful rewards to keeping a fit body. An in-shape, healthy individual shines in how they look, how they treat others, and the enjoyment they take in going about their daily activities.

So, be good to yourself and others. Create the habit of being fit, being disciplined, and being healthy…for your benefit and the benefit of the special people around you.
