We all know that working out has many benefits; however it’s not the easiest habit to develop. They say it only takes two weeks to set a habit, which I happen to believe in. Besides shedding a few pounds, there are many other benefits to working out. This article will discuss some of the reasons why we should all workout.
Endorphins are compounds that are released from the body during exercise. The result of this process is a happy one! Simply put, when endorphins are released we naturally become happier. There’s no better way then letting out anger or sadness than a hard workout.
Many people look at working out as a chore, which puts a bad impression in your head, right off the bat. Nobody likes “chores.” A better way to twist it is look at it as your personal time. You get to zone in on yourself and only yourself! Yes, there are other people in the gym, but you’re there to better yourself!
It should be looked at as a gift to yourself. You get to feel good mentally and you’re making yourself look better. By the time you’re done with your workout, you’ll feel great and happy that you did it. It’s also a gift to others because it will make you more relaxed, more focused and more productive.
Many people will find it easier to workout during the spring and summer, but then slack off during the winter and fall. It’s easier to stay motivated when you know your bikini or tank top is coming on. If you continue to workout all year, you’ll stay ahead of the game. You also won’t put on those couple extra pounds come the holiday parties.
Feeling strong and centered is a great feeling. Noticing your body change and seeing the results is priceless! Once your body starts to change, people will notice and its one of the best feelings to get those compliments. Also knowing that you’re capable of doing things that require some strength on your own is a nice feeling too.
For those of you that like to shop, buying a new workout outfit can be a lot of fun. Your new and improved body needs to look good while working out, so being able to get into that new outfit should keep those shoppers motivated.
As you may have noticed, I didn’t even get into the health reasons you should be working out. Health is the number one reason above all of these, but these are some fun ways to stay motivated while in the gym. Trust me; you’ll love it once you set the habit!
