Extra Motivation to Lose Weight

A lot of us need extra motivation to lose weight. As a nation we tend towards being overweight if not obese. We know this. In fact, we are more than aware of our extra fatty tissues and spare tires. We are ultra aware of each extra forkful of food which we consume or the number of calories which we rack up on a daily or weekly basis.

Many of us want to lose weight, yearn to lose weight; it seems that many of us think about losing weight and being slim for what can seem to be almost every waking moment of each and every day. Does this ring a bell with you? Have you tried all of those diets, fitness plans, kept a food diary, counted calories and read every scrap of information about low calorie eating and slim fast recipes? Are you sick and tired of spending so much time thinking about losing weight and yet still not being able to actually become that slim and fit person who you yearn to be?

The missing ingredient is not basic desire. You do want to be slim and healthy don’t you? You do want to lose those pounds and slim down so as to look your best and wear all of those clothes that you want to wear? Perhaps part of what is missing is motivation. Motivation to stick to your chosen diet plan or motivation to exercise and keep to your fitness plan.

Extra motivation to lose weight for some may come from a recent study which found that the greater the weight of a postmenopausal woman, the worse her memory becomes as well. It would seem therefore that for the more mature women, to lose pounds should also help to improve one’s memory.

This should not just motivate more mature women to lose weight, it should motivate women of all ages to shed pounds and keep their memory in better condition. There is something about being obese which is somehow linked to a risk of dementia. Now, I wasn’t involved in this research and I’m not a scientist, so I don’t know the whole picture here. But I do know that I don’t fancy spending my latter years suffering from dementia if I can do something to help prevent it.

To set about weight loss with a fresh injection of extra motivation seems to be one of the easier ways in which you can help fortify yourself against dementia. Motivation to lose weight comes from your own thoughts and perspectives. If you think that losing weight will be difficult then you will find that shedding pounds is a hard task. On the other hand it you approach weight loss with a different mindset, powered by lots of motivation, you will find that you will lose weight easily.

A real weight loss solution involves getting your mind set right. You have to have sufficient reasons, enough motivation to lose weight, in order to succeed. You then need to maintain the right mental focus. Hypnosis is a wonderful help in this area because you can access your subconscious mind and install new ideas and thoughts, new patterns of behavior and eating so that they become automatic and instinctive.

First you have to know that you do want to lose weight and have sufficient motivation to lose weight. But then hypnosis can be used to apply your mind instinctively to act out what you want to achieve, so that you approach weight loss with a successful mind set. Weight loss becomes a whole lot easier when you use hypnosis.
