Have you ever heard the old adage that eating breakfast is essential to your good health and is considered to be the most important meal of the day? Well, it’s true! Just think about it. you’ve been sleeping all night long, hopefully for anywhere between 6 and 8 hours, yet without eating a thing! This means that as soon as you wake up, (okay, within 15 minutes or so) you need to give your body some healthy and nutritious foods to eat so it will be strong enough to give you the energy to start your day off right!

Healthy Recipe Tips

There are a few things you can do to help make your breakfast recipes a little more healthy! First of all, add some fruit to your everyday breakfast diet. It doesn’t matter what kind of fruit, just pick your favorite and incorporate it into your breakfast-either by eating it plain, or putting it on top of your cereal or pancakes. Secondly, if you are currently cooking with white flour, stop! White flour offers no nutritional benefits and instead you should change to a healthier flour, such as whole grain or whole wheat, or rice flour if you are trying to avoid gluten. On that note, change any white breads you may be currently eating, as well. There are so many different types of breads available to buy these days, it’s completely worth the time to do a little experimenting and give these different breads a try until you find one that is delicious AND healthy to eat!
