Working out alone can be so demotivating, and lets admit it – it’s easy to decide to skip a workout when there’s nobody there to find out. You grab some chips, watch some TV and sat hey, maybe I’ll workout tomorrow – it’s OK to skip a day. Well, consider the same situation with a workout buddy. You may not want to work out – but you know your buddy Joe is depending on you, so you grumble, you groan, you whine – but at least you get out there and exercise!
Get Some Music That Pumps You Up!.
Find some music that gets you in the mood to workout. When I’m driving, or working, I listen to music that I enjoy and that gets me in a good mood – but when I want to get motivated to exercise, I get music that’s really high energy! Music that makes me want to jump out of my chair, run outside and go exercise!
Find a Sport You Enjoy
I enjoy running and lifting weights – but many of my friends find them boring. Perhaps you enjoy basketball, baseball, tennis, volleyball – or heck, maybe you do enjoy running. Just pick a sport that you find that gets you excited to get out there and exercise – rather than making it feel like such a chore!
