Hygiene is a term that generally means as being cleanly and also preventing from infection. Hygiene is nothing but maintaining of health and being neat and clean for a healthy living. Hygiene must be everywhere, it must range from personal hygiene, public health, hygiene in home and also being cleanly anywhere. Hygiene is a modern term which refers to the necessary measures that people take in order to be neat, clean, tidy and healthy. It is the duty of each and every human being and he/she is responsible for his personal hygiene. It is an individual’s duty to and responsibility to keep himself hail and healthy. Healthy and Hygiene is the only way that helps to promote the health of a person. There are quite a number of habits that people should follow for healthy living. Each and everyone must understand the importance of cleanliness and also the importance of hygienic sanitary condition.

Hygiene is not just washing hands, being clean and appearing good. Hygiene is of different aspects. It includes personal hygiene, medicinal hygiene, hygiene in food preparation, etc.

Personal Hygiene

Personal Hygiene is nothing just maintaining and taking care himself. Things that come under personal hygiene are here as follows.

Washing of Hands and Body – Everyone must wash their hair and body regularly and it is necessary to take bath twice a day. Taking bath twice a day will help to get away from germs and people can feel fresh for the whole day. Next important thing is wash the hands and face often with chill water so that germs will be controlled.

Oral Hygiene – Brush your teeth daily in the morning and at night before you go to bed. Brushing the teeth twice a day will prevent the teeth from dental problems. Wear clean clothes and wash the clothes daily with soaps or detergents and always wear neat ironed clothes. Keeping your living area clean and tidy without throwing garbage’s so that dust pollution will be reduced.

Common Avoidance – Things that are to be mainly avoided are, do not spit on the road, do not vomit in public places, and do not pass urine in road sides. These things should strictly be avoided as it will infect the public. Do not tap or pat up the animals before eating. Make use of tissue paper while sneezing and coughing. Do not use bare hands while sneezing and coughing. Do not bite nails as dirt’s will go inside and create some infection.

Food Hygiene – It is very much essential to maintain good and clean hygiene in order to thwart food poisoning. It is compulsory to clean the vegetables, raw meats, chicken or fish before cooking. Wash the dishes which are to be used properly so that the vessels will be clean and it will be free from germs. Meats must and all the vegetables must be boiled it hot water and it must be systematically cooked. Dispose the foods that have been wasted and do not use the foods the next day as it may become poisonous.

Medical Hygiene – Clean the wounds regularly and put bandages. Make necessary dressing of wounds and injuries. Use clothes like gloves, aprons, face masks and eye wears in order to protect from infection. Use sterilized needles at times of treatments. Dispose the therapeutic waste after using it.
